Starting more operations
A CPU supplies coordination work to start recipe operations. With several ready machines, a stronger CPU can launch more operations in the same time. It does not shorten a furnace’s cooking time or make one machine process several recipes at once.
Compare the launch capacity and power limit in the Server before upgrading. Under default settings, NX-8K provides 2 compute units per tick and spends 16 per launch: 2.5 starts per second when energy, materials and machine slots are available. Actual completed crafts can be slower.
Some advanced processes also require a minimum compute level. A new CPU can therefore make a process available, not just reduce its queue. Check Technology and the plan requirements; a stronger PSU or another machine may still be needed.
